Mine would either be Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles or Sonic CD.

N64dude, Sonic Generations is not a classic Sonic game.

Sonic 06 yeah that is glitchy and the characters look weird. The music is good though.

I'm playing through Sonic and Knuckles and I'm at Death Egg. Sky Sanctuary is the best zone though because of Knuckles and how Mecha Sonic makes you fight versions of bosses from Sonic 1 and 2.
